LOL, Sorry about the jargon but it is derivatives, high freq, stat arb and options we are talking about. We can talk about stocks all day and I promise not to use math.:D
I partially work in the field plus studying too. And I am not in IT so I dont have to worry about product releases etc:D:D

To me, this statement does not really deliver anything substantial or meaningful. Can you please reiterate?

He contacted his senator to get the total number of pending EB apps for India.
Please see the response from the senator in the following link. It has pending applications by category.

You can't do anything to ICICI - they are private banks and the way they have agreements when you send money - they can tweak dates when to actually dump the cash , change exchange rates anytime ( within a reasonable range) to increase their Profit margins. Its just a smart way of doing business and making - i wont call that 'stealing money'
If you want to be smarter than them jump to online SBI boat , they have the best Online rate and let ICICI know next time that you switched loyalty because they were getting smarted beyond range.

Not a big thing but they maintain some ethics about tweaking rates and the exact day they dump the cash to your account - i got about 43.25 when market rate was 43.57 and those smart banks ( or thieves) were doing around 43.07..43.12

Do what you got to do and let others do what they think is right. I don't think there is one Success mantra here...because we are yet to be successful.
Honestly, I agree with you...but the underlying fact is some people get motivated for calling the senators and some for anonymous fax/email/flowers and some for rallies. There is definitely a subset who does all...but unless you are a Gandhi/MLK/JFK/Mandela....it's hard to drive people in one route.
Just a thought...

we do all of the above and more. if you like something more than the other that's perfectly fine and dandy. but if we can't collect a critical mass for an action, we lose effectiveness and shoot ourselves in the foot.

Today I have seen soft lud on my 485 application, My pd is dec06 eb2-India, I have called uscis IO she updated my address and she told me that they are waiting for visa number once visa number is available they are working on my case, I asked her why I got soft LUD, she replied that IO opened my file and find out that country VISA number is not available. Because they touch my file I got soft LUd.

Fraud is not correct word, it is because of lack of policies or loop holes in the current Immigration System. This can be found in any system, any country, any people. So, there is no need to talk on that. It is better to put our EB related retrogression problems to Congress and no use in discussing these. See what I mean. More than stat-arb, the HFT programs keep looking for pattrens in order flow and front run them. Thats why you have lattice trading and when a fund wants to sell a big block, they dont even go to the exchanges. they pick up the phone and call someone "upstairs"

Just because a large number of IV members are EB2 Indians (based on the comments posted) doesn't mean that we should ignore the interest of EB3 ROW or EB3 Indian/Chinese.
Any talk about moving visa numbers from EB3-ROW to benefit EB2-India only divides us therefore should be despised. Let's focus on the real issue (supply & demand of EB visa in general) and serves the interest of all people suffering from this.
I am considering changing my queue from EB3 India to EB2 India, PD 2003. Given the heavy traffic in both queues, does this idea sound worth taking the risk? For me, it involves changing employers and refiling Labor with I-140 and port PD. I have an approved I-140. Thanks for any honest inputs.
