Well if u r a paying customer, u didn't like the product that u bought. Forget it and move on and u knew b4 buying that its non-refundable and cannot be taken back whether u like it or not. Before buying the product u very well knew what u were buying dint u? So live with it. :D

They'll fight for a replacement, a fix, some solution to the problem.

if the orignial post on this thread is really true, then eb2/eb3 india/china with p.d. older newer than 2002 should basically pack whatever they have so far and leave... is that a fair reading? does anyone care to ammend my statement to perhaps "newer than 2003 [or 2005]"?

Not true. Whatever they can outsource, its already gone. There are certain position where the clients demand onsite resource. I am not supporting this bill in anyway, I hate infy as much as I hate this bill. Remember these companies did not leave any stone unturned, milked the client every possible way and expoilted the employees to the maximum extent. In one another post - VLDRao was saying these companies does the tax filing on behalf the emoloyee, get the refund and again claim that tax in india using double taxation aoivdance treaty.
This was a practice only done by TCS a few years ago. And even that has stopped now (albeit because of a lawsuit filed by some employees)

Even if you had applied then when single, no difference my friend.
One still needs to retain the H1 so their dependants could have the H4. So, until the dates open up again there is no end in sight for the other benefits such as EAD etc.
If it is any solace, you actually did not miss the boat!

Currently it takes about 80-90 days for EAD when the 485 was just trickle, with the june filers it was expected to become more towards 90 days +. based on that with deluge of applications it will take around 6 months for july filers.
please note most of the post June 15th to June 30th filers are yet to get the reciepts. it takes approximately a month from then to get FP. which means that even june filers will get FP into late august september. With the FP being code 3 that is what kicks off the EAD.
So it is just that instead of being in one line the july filers will move into another line... but the good is that recent H4 people will not suffer years of waiting like the early PD people who have been waiting for years to be in EAD to get a job.

I agree looks like CIS is getting its act together. but with such a big jump in dates. We will see random approvals like May 2006 before July 2004 etc.

I do agree , but I do not see any $20 contribution in google checkout or paypal.We have to mail the checks.I guess we can get more donations if we include $25,$50,$75 contributions in google checkout as well as paypal.Correct me If I am missing some thing.

I do not buy this argument because how come NSC is approving peoples I-140 filed concurrently in July-Aug 2007 or even non-concurrently filed as late as Oct 2007? How come Eb2 is moving so fast in NSC ?

Do you have your 485 approved ? If not, you are not supposed to contribute to any political campaigns. You have to be a GC holder or citizen to contribute to political campaigns. Its illegal otherwise.
Well, I don't know what is happening with my I485. I took my Infopass appointment early morning 7.15 AM on July 2nd. My Priority date became current(PD-11/08/2004). I was quite happy that it became current. Our applications are with San Jose Local Office. We completed our interview on October 2005. At the time of our interview our priority date is not current and no visa number available. The IO said that whenever our PD becomes current they will approve our case and send the mail in card. We moved to San Jose and our case files are transferred from South Portland Maine to San Jose.
Long story short, we went to San Jose office and told the IO that our Priority date became current and he has the VB that has all categories current.He said that he is going to pull the files out of inventory room and send to the IO the same day and he will approve it. We are aware of the fact that VB is going to change. So not sure how to take the information given to us. Will they approve as he said? or will they take it out and wipe the dust off and put it back for dust to collect again. I am disappointed, angry, helplessness. It is just 1 hour work that is all it takes to approve and I am waiting for past 2 years. Anybody in the same boat?? What can i expect from the response. What should i infer - approve or dust collection. Anyways my company is asking me to relocate to Beijing or Mainz so I will consider seriously after consulting with my wife.

At least I won't give u red dots if you can enlighten us how to get us out of this mess. And yes, we do want our green card so I don't think we can stop the process or stop spending money on that. Also please advise us how to bring all 70K people under one umbrella?
I dont mind getting Red Dots, But please, for god's sake. Stop doing this fruitless campaign. Do you guys think Giving a Clock or sending flowers solved earlier problems. Enough of this Gandhiian ways. This country is not good for people like Gandhi. May be Flower campaign got noticed and created a whole new experience for the USCIS, but i dont think it really helped them do anything in our favor. Already, folks here are wasting their money, year after year, on their EADs and APs for them and their family. Just think for a second guys, It costs us 1000 $ to maintain status on AOS and visit our family and this is going on indefinitely for our years now. USCIS/Congress does not want to do anything about this, They are happy to get the revenue. Even if you think a minimum of 200,000 people spending 1000 $ an year, it is 200,000,000 $. Iam not even considering the amount they spent on other things like H1B extension, H4s..... Just think about the Dollars they are making on this Green Card SCAM. Accept it or not, it is indirectly affecting our lives, even though, GC is not really important for lot of folks. Iam one such person, I have a good client and a decent employer and iam with the same folks for 9 years and they are happy extending my H1b at their cost. But still, this whole GC game, is sometimes disturbing. They are playing with our emotions and our loved ones. So, GUYS we need to take a bigger and bolder step. To me, Calling people, sending flowers and letters explaining the situation makes no sense. Do you think, those guys dont really know about our situation. Let us a make a bold move. We are 70,000 folks just here in ImmigrationVoice. Let us compile a letter,that pushes USCIS/Congress on improving the condition. As long as they get those EXTRA Dollars, i dont think anything is going to happen. Even if they remove the provision to apply for GC while on H1B, it is good for us, for we will know that in advance and can plan on shaping our future better, instead of this false promise and emotional torture. I think even AILA or other Lawyers are useless. They dont want to do anything for us. All they do is, interpret the LAW , and explain us in the way we can understand. They dont take steps to fight for the justice. All they care is the money. So let us make our point clear to USCIS, we dont want to waste money on EADs and APs and H1B extensions. To me, it should be free of cost, since it is their problem that they dont work efficiently. You are forgetting spouses , EB-1 and in some cases 18+ years children.
Also quota in 2001, 2002 and 2003 was 195K and not 65 K
not every h1 guy can or will apply for GC. For example many of this big indian IT companies, with lot of H1s in hand, either dont apply GC for employees or they have very strict policies so that most dont qualify.
I know for sure , coz i am a victims of such situation :)
