Then you have never streamed video onto your phone from home or Netflix or Slingbox. It's not pleasant over 3G onto the iPhone - looks and responds even worse on the iPad.

The only thing I don't like about these iPhone 5 rumors is that they're proving everyone who said the iPhone 5 would be a half-step upgrade right. No NFC, no LTE, no larger screen size, nothing. Better chip, slightly better camera, maybe higher storage, and that's it on the hardware front, apparently. World phone capability is hardly anything to get excited about.
I would seriously consider hanging onto my 3GS until next year if I thought it would survive another year, so I wouldn't get locked into a two-year contract on the iPhone 4.5 when the iPhone 2012 will have all the features I've been waiting for.

So for .17 GHz upgrade we are sacrificing around 30% graphic power?
The i5 can retire more instructions per clock cycle, and so could actually run real software faster at even a lower GHz clock speed than a C2D.

I'm not a big fan of technical analysis, since it tends to ignore everything but share price over time. In my experience technical analysts are wrong as often as they are right.

I am liking this upward trend we have going right now. We need to keep that up. We need major releases of folding clients to be posted on atleast page 2 if not page one to get some interest.

31,100,000,000 is alot of stamina too, I remember when m$oft got in the gaming console business there was a lot of this talk, now look at them, they sell the thing for a loss. Now imagine if they did that for the zune, a 60gb video capable for $150.00. Something to think about.........

That's a trip, and it's so sad. However, I think it's best for the kids. With experts seeming to rule out mental illness (which probably doesn't just come on), there seems to be a very strong appearance that he's on drugs.
The thing is I don't know how he allegedly passed a drug test. The guy rants and raves like either a very late stage alcoholic and/or a person on hard drugs. He has openly admitted to lots of drinking and drug use so it's not a stretch to think he's still using and it's a good reason to take the kids away. One of the best technical analysis charts is a P&F chart, it focuses on PRICE ACTION ONLY (no time). If you check out AAPL in a daily P&F chart it has broken down past the bull trend line (blue) and is consolidating. Its a pretty bad looking chart that was looking well overbought

I use "VMWare Server" It runs on both Windows and Linux. Here is how it works: First I bring up a console window. THen I "connect" to a physical machine. Either the one I'm using or some other one on the network. Then I can "Power On" a Virtual machine. On power on I see the BIOS counting up memory and then booting off the boot device and finally it loads an OS. What this means, it that you have a set on physical machines and a set of virtual machines and the virtual machines can run on any of the physical machines and can eve be moved around. And all the displays are sent back to you workstation where you can tab between them. Another neat feature is the abilty to "snapshot" a VM. You ckick on "snapshoot" before you do something you might regret say you want to install some spyware thing just to see what it does. OK now you've seen it so you click "restore" and the computer is put back into the state of when it was snapshoted.
VMWare pioneered this whole ideal and has by for the best products. And so of them are free. If you have a Windows or Linux system go get VMware Server right now.

Meh, my 3G S works fine for now.
When Apple starts talking about the 64 GB (or better yet, 128 GB - though I'm not holding my breath) iPhone 5, then we'll talk.
Besides, when my contract is up in July, iPhone 5 talks should hopefully be out. I can wait.
White iPhone 5 64 GB LTE + white iPad 3 128 GB (Wi-Fi + LTE) - I can dream, can I not? :D
For my significant other, the 3GS is what they chose as a Valentine's Day gift... just a little upset that they are Jonesing for an iPad 2 ATT 3G right now. AFTER I explained the tethering option for the iPhone 4. :( For them the 3GS is great - so far LOL
They are now seeing that my advice for the iPhone 4 might have been a better choice; even if they stay with their MBA 11". Been together just under a year together; but it seems I am getting "tech points" on future tech gear purchases. :D

i have a family plan with a 3G, 3GS and 2 cheapo phones. my wife and her parents came from Verizon. we live in NYC and no one ever complains about dropped calls. i've had a few from inside a converted factory building with very thick walls
the most dropped calls i have are to my mom in colorado who has t-mobile. those drop on a land line all the time as well

Really good to see the update (finally)... but I am disappointed they didn't bring the 24" back :(
The 27" is too big, and the resolution on the 21.5 is laughable for an upgrade of this magnitude.
Still, quad core across the range is nice.

Hi,
It doesn't look as if Spaces can work this way - but if you have multiple
screens then it would be nice to assign one or more spaces to that screen.
Is that how it works?
Or does it treat the other screens as an extension of the current Space?

How long after you make a purchase does the App Store remember your password so you don't have to enter it again? I presume that's what happened in this case.
Apple definitely should give you a warning that you're about to purchase an app more costly than $75. Although this kid obviously only went to the app because of its cost.
