My friend has 2 I-140s one EB3 (PD Dec 2002) and second one EB2 (PD Nov 2006) - what is the best option for him.
Whether he can use earlier PD for EB2 (I-485).
Please share your knowledge.

My 485 packet reached NSC on July 2 with an approved 140 from TSC and no CC or receipts yet. My 140 has LUD of 08/12. God only knows where my 485 packet is lying. I applied for my 1st H1 extension at VSC which has a receipt date of July 12. I am planning to upgrade my H1B application to premium because my drivers license is expiring on Sep 30.
My questions here is,
1) Would there be any problem if my H1b is approved in premium with a new I-94 while my 485 is still lying with USCIS with out the recipts.
2) Would a new I-94 jeopardize my 485.
3) Is there any relation between H1B extension and 485 receipting.
Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

If I am in your place, i wont argue with that lawyer. I will try to get full co-operation from that lawyer, and make him file another LC, after proper review from your side. Obviously you need support from employer also.
It is your choice. And yes you can file legal case against law firm. But then what?

My labor for the perm processing has been rejected (after 2 years) due to an incorrect field in the ETA form. This was lawyer's mistake and negligence in paying diligence in filling the form. Can I sue the lawyer? My options would be either to restart the processing or look for another law firm to file my application.
Please let me know if anyone has encountered the same problem? Can I file a legal case against the law firm?

I'm in California, My I-140 was approved by Texas service center.
I-485 was filed with Nebraska but transfered to texas service center.
Now my I-485 is pending with Texas service center.

If you go in person, the Consular Officer addresses most issues in the afternoon. You could ask for a meeting with him and explain your situation.
I think this will be the easiest resolution.

Bottomline is that the whole process translates to Luck.
Surely is. That's why if you search on this forum there are so many theories and postulates put forward that tries to second guess or figure out what their algorithm/methodology is. The last person who could guess the PD movement algorithm was VDLRao, but he is MIA nowadays.
Anyways if anyone who has their PDs current on this forum and believes that they are feeling lucky tommorrow or anytime in the next month, I would suggest NOT to wait for GC news. When you're feeling lucky go to Vegas, maybe a multimillion $ jackpot that you always dreamt about is around the corner:D.

I don�t want to get into this fight or judge the OP. They are already paying the price for they did. Just I want to reply for your post. If it has happened by mistake we can consider put ourselves into their shoes. I believe most of us do not want to shoplift intentionally. Some people are doing it for fun/thrill or it�s in their blood. In this context, I failed to understand what do you mean by 'Put yourself in their shoes'.

If it is +ve there wont be any problem, well & good!

i heard that if you use electric tooth brush.. they will reject your checks...since you are using too much electricity. please check with ur attorney if they are using electric tootthbrush or electric shaver.

The I-140 processing date for EB2 Nebraska is June 2007. I have a friend with receipt dt on July 30, 2007 in EB2 whose I-140 was approved today. My I-140

I am going to Canada tomorrow for my H-1 stamping. My passport expires in Jan 2008 though (less than a year left!!). I assume that I will get a 3-year visa stamp.
However, when I re-enter the US, I guess the I-94 I get will have an expiration date that matches my passport expiration date rather than my H1B visa expiration date. Am I correct in assuming this?
Is there such a thing as an I-94 extension, and if so how easily does it get approved. Thank you so much, but I am getting really worried right now.
You can always file for visa extension again...never heard of a I-94 extension as such....I think they might give you a proper I-94 for the whole valid duration...Anyway you can get a new passport booklet in US from consulate fairly quickly...

u got it all wrong there, there is goin to be an h1b increase, the business community wants it, they'll get it wether anyone likes it or not and with that will come all those durbin/ron hira amendments and all this will happen b4 the next h1b date so its a matter of time b4 it all happens again
