I have my company�s lawyer that I have to use but he is not experienced with this. My company wouldn�t be happy if I suggest switching to another lawyer so I need to control this myself.
Actually what I realized out of my experience with GC processing � it�s better to be involved into this process as much as possible.
As per DOL employee should not be involved with this process period.:(

I just read the instructions on initial evidence on the I-485. Nowhere does it ask you for passport details - only for page with nonimmigrant visa, if obtained in the last one year.
Why are people asking questions about passport validity? What am I missing here - please enlighten.

If the registration date on the birth ceritificate is latest, not obtained during her birth, then you might need to back it up with secondary documents. Any of the above said documents, including 2 affidavits, should be submitted along with the bc. In any case make sure that all secondary documents includes both your parents full names. If you are using 2 affidavits as secondary documents then make sure that affiants full names and their date and place of birth information is also included. This is exactly what I did. I have submitted latest bc and backed up with 2 affidavits. This is what I learnt from my attorney. USCIS has received my response and application processing resumed and I am putting my fingers crossed:rolleyes:.
I will let u know if my status has changed. Please keep in mind that what I said all along in this thread based on my experience. Do some more research and come to your own conclusion. Good luck.

It doesnt matter whether the clients of the employer are for-profit or not (obviously). The only thing relevant is whether or not the organization for which your wife will work is classified as not-for-profit.

dyekek12 - as you can obviously see from above, there are a lot of frustrated souls out here. You are in the wrong forum to pose such q's - this place is filled with a lot of socially challenged tech grads who sit on their asses the whole day tracking bureacracies and complaining like village bellies & then do nothing about it. Your q is best answered by a college counselor or dept head. Pick a school with a good program and see what their grads are doing. Most grads will happily answer q's for you honestly. There are plenty of websites to do your research on - but approaching it as an eb3/eb2 gateway is bad. All of them are screwed up.

What if one decides to go back to school to get another degree when on EAD, is this possible?
The only issue I see is that you need to have a job lined up when your GC is close to approval and you get a RFE for proof of employment for example - is it a norm to get this kind of RFE or at most times you just get the approval notification for the GC?
Any insight in this regard will be very much appreciated.

You can do a lot in this instance with a single well-exposed (highlights to the right, but not blown out) RAW file from a low-noise camera (e.g. anything but my D1). ;)
What you must do is to go through the RAW conversion process twice, making two files: one with the highlights placed where you want them (don't worry about the shadows), and another with the shadows brought up to the level that you'd like (the highlights will be blown out in this image). Now, stack the two in one image as two layers, and use a layer mask on the upper image to "paint" where the bottom one should show through.
This is explained in a tutorial (http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/blended_exposures.shtml) over at the Luminous Landscape. Given that he was using film when he wrote that, he included a bit on aligning the two images, which you won't need to worry about because both of your images came from the same photo. If you have any more questions, I'd be glad to help, or I'm sure one of our other members who's forgotten more about Photoshop than I'll ever know could help you even better. :)

It is an error on USCIS part, may be because you (or your spouse's employer) have not notified the USCIS about your spouse using the EAD for employment.

Please let us know how best we can be a backup for each other in case of any unavoidable circumstances.
a)If I get laid-off or fired, can I jump to H4 and then come back to H1b without being subjected to cap?
b)What are the other backup plans we can have.

I don't think you can efile I907 for I-140. You have to file via paper. But hurry...they are suspending PP starting July 2nd for atleast a month in anticipation of huge volume of applications that will start pouring in.
