Delivered July 2 @9:01am Fedex,
I spoke to a IO from Nebraska center ,they said my data is not in the system.She said no memo has been issued how to process the July 2nd cases,but they will process all the other cases according to VB 107.when i asked more she said she cannot give me any more information i asked her should i resubmit , she did not comment on that i was totally surprised when i asked her when the cheque will be cashed she said october, I again asked her and told her it is not for H1 b it is for I 485 again she said october.Did you any of you guys call the USCIS ??

Now the next step is, you need to go there to create "Transparent Government", "clean drinking water", "roads" AND "change attitudes", oh! Last one is a biggee. Clean drinking water, un-interrupted power supply
Roads and neighborhoods without trash pile ups
Change of people's attitude that Govt should do everything for them, but without having to have pay taxes, fee etc.

I got a FP notice for next month. It is certainly not related to AP or EAD renewal, since I don't have any pending AP or EAD renewal. I got my EAD renewed last March and AP in May. So hoping that I got the FP notice since they started looking at my 485 application and something positive will be end result.

Dude I think you are thinking too much of it. USCIS is an organization that goes by a process. If they have a pending application, they have to process it. they decided in the summer of 2007 that they will hire additional contractors and process all the pending applications so that they reach their goal of 4 months processing times of 485.
Why will they waste their resources on your $325 dollars again dude? Is the amount that high that they will reopen the case at the time of finally alloting a visa number, and spend the money/resources on reviewing the case again?
Whatever be the PD, USCIS is all set for a month processing time of 485 by Sept 2009. All cases filed before Jun of this year should have been either pre-adjudicated or denied by that date.
I don't want to drastically oppose anybody's view or perceptions... But still I don't think that USCIS is an organization which goes with all the so called process models and they will stick with processing of the cases with priority basis - Yes, including all their country, category, etc quota fandas...
Otherwise we would not have seen people who are all with 2006 PD getting approvals where those who have better priority dates (with out tied up with any name check or other hassles) in the same cateogory and country are still waiting... Who knows whether they have some other agenda by getting 1000's of $325 from each applicant upfront, even they very well know that they would not able to do anything for those people in the near future? So why do they worry to take a few contractors for the time being and say bye bye after some time to them. By those uneducated contractors we have suffered a lot of back and forth mailing of the applications during 2007 July, there by making good business for Fedex and USPS. Anyways by that most of us got EAD... Thanks to such an act by the so called organization run by process model :D
Needless to say the small efforts as preadjudication or so will hopefully shed some light for our endless wait. I appreciate it... Better late than never. Atleast if they stop kicking the processing dates back and forth, just what we have seen in the last couple of months and offcourse in the past also, I would say "God Bless USCIS" for not making us fools again and agian.

Good to hear that 01, 02 & 03 ppl r getting approved. Atleast they are following FIFO and the line is getting shorter. Not that I am not happy abut the 06 folks who got GC but it should realistic 'First In First Out'.

It will bring down the workload? Can you explain how? If anyone in the world is eligible to apply for the GC without sponsorship, the system will be flooded with applications, irrespective of whether they carry any merit or not. What makes you think that an organization that cannot process 140K applications per year can handle millions?
The point based system sounds great in theory, but cannot be implemented efficiently by the U.S. as long as it remains the most desired country for immigrants. It works for Canada, Australia and the U.K. because fewer people want to move there.
Anybody wont be eligible. Canada has been fine tuning the immigration since 2002.
Now only people who have studied or worked in Canada on work permit are eligible.
family based is greatly restricted unlike US where around 80 is non-skill based.
If they want they always reform but the exiting H1B is so good for American Companies that they will fight to keep the existing H1B-GC servitude instead of
any point based..
Plus there is politics of vote bank: Moment the CIR comes, the sheer stampede of illegal lobby like the bulls of Spain, H1B folks get crushed. Last time, moment the CIR came, H1B people started opposing it because it literally made illegals ahead in line line with more points in the point based system.
That's why I am skeptical of CIR as of now. H1bs don't have much chance in front
of the madness of illegal lobby vote bank. Based on my observations of how the
US politics works I don't see promise in CIR (one of main reasons I left for Canada)
Not to mention, a lot of antis are not that against EB reform but moment CIR comes
all anti-s get united in opposition. The illegal bobby hold H1Bs as hostage unless they get what they want. It is such a deadlock that I just don't see how it can be fixed.
Unless there is another super powerful lobby helping us like US industry (supreme powerful lord in US politics) which currently wants the existing H1B system I don't see headway.
PS: In 2002 Canada passed IRPA where they delegated the rule decision making to the executive branch unlike US where any change has to be legislated.

This can create fights amoung us. This is like divide and rule.. It did work in the past,. so we must make these guys do EB2 and EB3.
BUT they bring some very good points.
EB3 will go nowhere unless we act. Very Correct.
They want to do something and looks like decided with a plan.
There is a chance many EB3 Indians getting influenced as they too dont see any hope and there is nothing happening from IV in last 1 year except one or two in last 1 week.
Writing to service centers is a new idea even I didnt get so far.
So are we seeing these guys very soon in white.,. lets see.

I-140 premium processing was stopped last year...It takes upto a year or more to get I-140 approved, that too if its a direct case...If its a interfiling case to capture PD from Eb-3 to Eb-2, then its taking even longer..One of my friends filed I-140 in March 2007 to capture his Eb-3 PD of Apr 2004 to EB-2 and he is still waiting....I-140 processing dates are well beyond his receipt date but still his application is pending....So porting PDs is not that straightforward these days...
