Found that someone with Aug 2002 PD got approved on June 1 whose I485 Receipt date was May 2003.
I guess USCIS does not go by PD to select who should be adjucated first but by what date the I485 was received. They are really ingenious and creative in finding ways to be inefficient and unjust.
Oh well....
IV is the only place that is doing a lot to change.

We're in a unique situation. My wife and I married in India and didn't register our marriage; we're now citizens of country X. To get our marriage (and birth) certificate, we went to the local Indian consulate, which provides these services. But we were told that, since we're no longer Indian citizens, we should go to X's consulate. Is there a way we can get the certificates? How about registering our marriage in the US?
For BC, our parents sent us the affidavits and we were thinking to get a certificate of BC's non-availability through mymanindia.com. Is there a quicker solution?

Hello,
I got my EAD through my primary Employer. I am currently working on EAD but with a different Employer (NY State Agency) who doesn�t encourage GC processing, so did not file my AC21 and been working for over a year now. I still have good rapport with my primary Employer. Now I am scheduled to go to INDIA for few weeks, my question is " whom should I say is my Employer " if the immigration officer asks me at the port of entry (JFK). Please advise as I will be carrying my current pay stubs.

When I requested the company they sent me the "Wage report" form.
I am trying to understand if this is really the "unemployment wage report"?, Is there a specific form number that I need look for and request the company to send me the specific form. It would be helpful if there is specific information related to this form.

The Consulate only asks wage report for your company.It will not ask for entire state of California.The Wage Report you company send is enough but one more time just cross check with your company attorney before sending them to consulate.

I am in the same boat.File July 27. I140/I485 conccurently but so far I only have receipt for I140.Call USCIS over 10 times already no luck at all.And they told me that all applications from TSC are in the system.My lawyer call today and she was told that there are more cases from TSC that are still keying in for applications received during the month of July. So I ahve no idea what to believe.Call USCIS and request to check on your case.

Hello,
I have a question regarding voluntary work and the legalities when you are on a H4 spouse visa.
A Private company is ready to sponsor a candidate who is currently on H4 visa (spouse visa) for the H1-B visa in April.
But since the H1-B visa will only be given in Oct, can the H4 person work with that Pvt. Company from April to Oct voluntarily without any form of pay in cash or kind till the candidate gets the H1-B in Oct and then continue with that company?

this should include total applications as derivative also has to file separate I-485. you multiply with 1.7 when you are estimating from approved I-140 to speculate number of people who are waiting online to apply for green cards. bottomline is its no where close to 500,000 to 750,000 as expected by oh-law and other websites

If people decide to contact the hospital (personnel & patients), lets be considerate, appreciative and sympathetic to their sacrifices and contributions.
We can extend our gratitude towards them while politely highlighting our cause and unfortunate situation.
They'd probably realize that the flowers they are receiving is not because of USCIS is heartfelt sentiments' for them but due to a mere face saving tactic, they might even refuse accepting flowers causing further embarrasment to USCIS hopefully prompting some constructive action.

However the people who fought for freedom, and are recovering at these hospitals should know: what these flowers are all about and who is sending them.
We should write emails to these hospitals to educate them about this flower campaign and urge them to accept the flowers and support our just cause. Please suggest a good template for the email, supporting our troops and asking them to support us. IV core should help with this and co-ordinate this event. This can become a next step in our peaceful protest against USCIS. If we can gather the support fom these hospitals that would be a major success. After this email campaign, hospitals may accept or reject the flowers forwarded by USCIS, but we will score a major win in either case. This will become our second round of publicity in media for our flower campaign. Please comment on this idea.

I am confused stucklabor. I thought that labor decided ur job qualifications etc. I mean when i applied for my I-140 (i did not file concurrently btw). In labor cert, the company only advertises for an American for the job that is being proposed to be given to the foreigner. It also does include the foreigner's resume to a certain degree, but in general, the foreign worker's qualifications only get examined at I140. So a labor cert could be filed that is very tailored so that the chances of an American being qualified for the job is 0.01%. Then the foreign worker has to prove that he/she is qualified for the job. I140 also is the stage where USCIS also satisfies itself that the job is a standard job, not a made up job that will exclude most Americans. So all this happens at the 140 stage. Meanwhile, someone who wants to file a 485 can do it concurrently and get EAD and AP. They can even file a second labor cert at their own time and do things the right way. So the possibilities of fraud exist. USCIS has to balance quick processing vs diligent processing.
So anyway, read the report. The report doesn't say anything about mismanagement or corruption at USCIS.
