Seriously I am also sick of these violations and the companies everywhere in the world take law on a ride. No harm had happened to me but still irritates me when they get the GC in 1 year and we waiting for ever.
Call USCIS and they should be able be give you the right direction. Please update us on how it goes.

Guys do not feed the freeloaders by telling anything you are reading in the donor forum. Let these people help themselves by signing up for recurring contributions if they want helpful nformation about their EB2 PD movemement. We are still not meeting of our advocacy day amount. It is all because most people want free lunches. This needs to stop. The 200 people going to DC tomorrow are going to speak for you and me for yours and mine greencard. They are taking time off and spending own money for you and me. Nothing is free in this world. IV is also doing this for you and me and we are taking it for granted. Let people do some good deed today if they want to know good information

I received a SR reply in mail that my case is under additional review . MY pd is sep 05 and i am so frustrated. They also asked to check back after 4 - 9 months. Is there any body in that situation and what else can be done .. please advice..

When I call through vonage phone, the wireless internet connection to other computers is getting lost. Is this the problem others have too?
Is it having another router in between your vonage phone and cable /DSL connection solve the problem?
Any thoughts? Has anyone inquired this with vonage folks?
Vonage won't affect any wireless connections.

I do not know how many times this topic was discussed accorss various boards. Because of INA and amended provision in Ac21 act, all the unused visas from Eb1 goes to EB2 and if anything leftover in Eb2 goes to EB3. This is the law. This hurts badly EB3, as demand in EB2 is so high to consume the all the avialable Eb2 numbers. Moreover, country quota is not applied in each employment based preferece catagories seperatly /exclusivly, if the demand in each catagory is less than the supply. So, most of EB2 numbers consumed by India and China as worldwide demand for EB2 is very less than supply. There is no confussion in it. This is the law. Though it is unfair to very old EB3 folks (in their view) One cannot do anything to change it. unless congress rips of the AC21 provission by passing new law.
It is difficult to accept that a EB3 guy in 2001 pd stll waiting and 2006 guy gets gc. But this is what law is, USCIS/DOS can't do anything. If we talk unfairness, there are tons in US immigration. I am a big supporter of Obama and a big fan and am eagerly looking forward to see him as our next President of United States. As a legal highly skilled immigrant what can I expect? Well, not sure if I would see myself living here anymore. I have been in the green card queue for more than 8 years now and still waiting. Will Obama's administration do anything for people like me to help reduce backlog? I doubt such a thing will ever happen. I would see myself and people like me discouraged and start packing our bags and move on with life.
Why do I feel discouraged? If anything is going to happen for the immigrant community when Sen. Obama becomes the President, it is going to be in the lines of CIR 2007. There would be provisions to make illegal immigrants as legal and remove backlogs to family based quota whereas posing harsh restrictions on H1b visas and reducing Green Card quotas and scrap AC21 portability and try to experiment with some new kind of skilled immigration system.

I concur... I'm not flying BA ever again, my family members have had bad experiences with these folks. My $ is now reserved for more deserving airlines, even if the tickets are a couple of hundred bucks more expensive elsewhere. We can't just let them get away with behaving like Jade Goody all the time.

If you have a Masters you won't be affected.
I have a small doubt here. I'm still trying to understand this porting business. Why is that those who have already applied in EB2/Masters will not be affected?
If people with earlier PD port to EB2, it will make my processing longer, no? (IFF my PD is later than theirs')

How are people moving "freely" between categories? Man, if this was so "free" then would we have anyone at all in EB3 and even EB2...everyone would have moved to EB1 !!
I do not think it is that "free". I personally do not think anyone would move jobs ONLY to move from EB3 to EB2. The move to EB2 could be a side-effect for a job move that was done for a whole different reason.
Everyone has the right to do what they feel is the right thing. I feel supporting IV is right and hence have participated in each campaign from the time I joined. Sunny and Rolling are doing what they feel is right.
I do believe in "As you sow, so you reap". Do good, get good in return (tried to translate 'kar bhala, ho bhala'). You all know whether what you are doing is right or wrong. When you reap the result of it, just remember that you got what you sowed. Be happy.

I got my I-485 approved one hour ago. I got text messages for me and my family and the USCIS online status changed to CPO.
Opened SR on 09/03. No response yet.
Took Infopass on 09/08 to track my application. Infopass helped me to know that my application was moved to Examination unit on 08/27 and on the way to IO's desk.

Thanks to IV and all other folks in the forum for the valuble information.
I am sure everyone before PD 8th May '06 will get GC's before end of the month.

2) (copy 2)Send a copy of that letter to IV. After the letters are sent to the President, IV will have a meeting with senior administration officials. In that meeting we will carry the copies of the letters and deliver to them.
Thanks Pappu. Will definitely send in those letters. Dunno about the handwritten part (The white house may not be able to quite decipher them) but will send in those letters.
