You need to chill out dude. I do not see anything wrong. Whats wrong in analyzing and preparing yourself for future. I have plans to travel in 3 months.After looking at this thread I think it might take few more months. I think this is a valuable thread.
agree. in addition once your EAD expires you need to stop working immediately (they have stopped issuing interim EADs) if an EAD renewal takes 8 months and you cannot apply upto 6 months before expiry, there is a possibility that you will work only 10 months every year!

There are so many who missed the July 07...
we should try to seek temporary relief..allowing to file for 485 even without PD veing current.
CIR will happen when it has to happen..maybe after the health bill ...but IV not doing anything else while waiting for it is sad....

My wife�s visa and I-94 are on maiden name. I recently updated her passport to reflect married name. When I applied for her driver�s license, the DMV officer told me that they need to verify the name change with immigration. How do I inform immigration of the name change? What should I do to convince the DMV about her name change?

Let us give back to IV (and ourselves) by raising ten fold ($300K) of what the goal is.
If only 3000 people contribute $100 each, the amount raised would be $300K.
3000 people, from my understanding is only an iota of the IV membership.
$100 is NOT a big amount, no matter what you think/say, when the return is as huge as getting your green card faster, even a month or two faster (although we are talking years here).
I do NOT make a lot of money.
I have a Car payment like you.
I have a house payment like you.
I also have a lot of time left on my H-1B visa (12 months on the first one, before I even have to renew it for the first time) meaning I don't have worries of my visa timing out.
I also have an approved I-140 and 485 filed, making me eligible for the EAD/AP benefits, again taking some of the fear out, of H-1 renewal or getting laid off.
But I still think we need to keep supporting what IV is doing, I would rather take a Green card right now, than be on EAD/AP/H-1B renewals for the next 2,3,4,5 years.
PLEASE, don't be the person that wishes six months from now, that he/she had made a contribution when the time was right.

I know many people have their priority dates current since past few months but still they are waiting for I-485 approval. Hope this should not be scam to issue the EAD for only a year instead of two years.
Almost two years jump is unbelievable specially we know big numbers of Perms filed during 2005 and mid of 2006.

There is a difference, my friend. Porting to EB2 means you have to spend LOTS of $$$ and time and effort to get masters degree.
No matter how you look at it, it is not wise to hack away at any door that's open to all. We should look at expanding our vistas, not shrink it. What if I tell you I am thinking of starting up a co in India, so some day I can make it here using the EB1 route? Why do you want to prevent me from availing this opportunity and making my sacrifices -- just because you feel it will help YOU move forward by ONE INCH?

Agree with you 100% - But Once you start a thread with assertive words peoples start relying on you.... I also posted lots of conversations between myself and USCIS but i was never assertive.
Anyway - this argument will go on forever.
Can we request SriKondoJi/likes not to post anything with strong Affirmative words unless they have some kind of confirmations beyond the general Public's assumption ??

Just wanted to let you know that my EB3 I-140 got approved today. I am a July 2007 concurrent filer. This wait has been frustrating and I've had to let many good opportunities pass by. I had, in the last 2 months, opened 2 service requests. I am not sure if they did the jobor may be the time has come when we will see July approvals coming in hordes.

Can someone explain what "Temporary Restrain Order" would do if it were successful. It sounds to me that the lawsuit is asking the court to temporarily invalidate the July visa bulletin so that USCIS will be forced to accept the applications. Is this a reasonable understanding? Any lawyers here?

They open up the gate for all July filer, then closed it and then re-open it again when many protested. So, when someone shared the news that USCIS is not going to accept the july filings, everyone mocked him but that came out to be true.
Forum is all about sharing information. It depends on our judgement as how much we want to believe on that. Srikondji shared some information which he learned from the CRs, now it's up to you if you want to blindly follow that or use that information as a way to curb your anxiety.
People started cursing logiclife when he posted about the FAQ4 to be released by friday and it didn't. But it did came after 2-3 days. So someone who shared that info with Core might have just said we are trying our best to come up with FAQ4 and will release it by Friday and core shared that info with everyone. But that doesn't mean that people should take that info as if it doesn't come on Friday, it will be the end of the world and core should loose his credibility. FAQ4 did came after couple of days and all those people who were cursing logiclife were no where to be seen.
If you put up a clause that no-one should share the info, unless you have a word from God, I guess we'll not have more than 2 or 3 threads here.
So guys..bottom line is stop fighting over what someone said or not, concentrate on what you are doing about it.
As someone rightly said, "Listen to all but do what you think is right". There is similar adage in hindi but I'm not using hindi so that everyone can understand it.

We can predict EB2 movement but EB3 is kind of gone case for this year too. Without any CIR, we can just pray that EB2 for all countries become current or at least move until july fiasco date (Aug 2007) so that spillover starts trickling to EB3.
Since EB2 I/C after Aug 2007 PD haven't filed their I-485 yet so the visa numbers if any left out by clearing until Aug 2007 should go to EB3I (the most retrogressed country). I don't see it happening this year but in 2010 it's a possibility.
