Americans want immigrants like yourself who follow the rules and contribute to American society; it is our valued tradition. What we don't want is illegals walking all over our laws. The illegals hurt lawfull immigrants. I married an immigrant who followed the rules, she's very bitter over the way this country is pandering to the Hispanic Reconquista crowd. Americans don't want the amnesty, but the government is pushing for it. Legal immigrants and applicants, IMO, should stand up and be heard to fight anmesty as well.

We understand the American dream far better then many born American citizen, who think everybody else owe them something just because they were born in USA. I was able to apply without any hassle at all. I took all my documents, but only needed passport, driver's license and EAD as proof.

Obama did say that there might not be an appetite for it currently.......... However, making the bill a delicacy might bring back the appetite :D just kidding.....
Seriously, if other states follow Arizona, it becomes a pressing issue and whether Obama or Congress has the appetite or not, they have to learn to deal with it. Can't let the Arizona law go viral.
One of the biggest complaint that AZ is making is that the federal government is not addressing the border problem.........well, the federal govt has to wake up and start addressing immigration reform on the whole .......... as so many sections of the immigration system is broken.
In conclusion, the mood and environment sets the stage. We have one. Got to take advantage of it.

I'm on h1 and also have an EAD
My current job is on my h1. And I have an EAD, but never used it.
Question: Can I work pat time on my EAD and still retain my h1.
Any pros and cons?

Dude, this is grey area, One thought is, Once EAD is used for 2nd job fulltime /parttime you lose your H1 status and there is other thought if you stay with your GC sponsoring employer and retain the full-time job you should be fine retaining your H1 status and ofcourse you can use EAD for your P/T job.
And hey this is not it there is one more thought going around, If your last entry is through H1b you still are in H1 status even after using EAD for your 2nd Job.
Fact of the matter, nobody is sure about which thought is correct.

depends on how you filed it, if its premium processing, you get a decision in 4 to 6 days.. amazing what an extra 1000 dollars can do. I waited 4 years to get my labor approved and I-140 in 14 days with premium processing.

Many of our american disilusioned brothers/sisters are visiting our site periodically/regularly to see what we are upto. They think their salaries will rise once H1b visas are eliminated. "How Sad". Does your Attorney says that counter will start from Aug 28, 2007 ?
Did he say anything about Aug 28, 2007 falling out of Aug 17, 2007 limit date for filing AOS and can that cause any issues?
I am still waiting for an answer from my Attorney. Will post the details here as soon as I hear anything from them.

My spouse is working on H1-B in Los Angeles. His company acquired another company in Bay Area, so now he wants to work out of Bay Area, from this acquired company's office.
1. Does he need to file a transfer memorandum ?
2. WIll there be a change in wages ?
3. Are there any other steps before he starts to work in BayArea ?
Please help.

I live in california, and my employer too in California.
Do you guys know the Fate of CSC transfred people like us.Will they transfer back to NSC..
