I have got EAD and AP.I think i would not have got them if the 140 is not filled.
I also know the date on which he filled. but employer is not sharing the receipt because there is no mandate for him to do so.
I wanted to know is there a way out.
Did you try calling USCIS customer service number? You just have to get lucky. Some customer service people are nice & some are just plain rude. (I have had both experiences just today )

Guys,
I did 3 Years Diploma in Computer Science after 10+2(Non Medical) from India and I have about 16 years of experience in IT. I am thinking of using this education to complete my Bachelors here in US. I would like to know what would my education equate to US Education.
I need an Idea how many courses I would have to take to complete the Bachelors? Please share any tips that would help me take less number of courses.It's not easy with kids.

We invited our in-laws last September and it was not easy for them to get the visa in the first interview. They got denied with the reason 214(b) without verifying any Indian documents. Infact, my father-in-law was a government servant and he was still employed at the time of interview. My wife was on EAD and I was on H1-B and I was inviting my in-laws to USA.
We then asked a letter from the senate's office requesting the visa officer to issue them visa and explained that they have strong ties with family members back in India and have bank balance and property. It was surprise that nothing was asked in the second interview and they could get a 10 years multiple entry visa. This time my wife invited her parents.
In all this, we wasted time, money and were very tensed since my wife's due date was approaching and it was only a month far.

I'd like to know if any of you invited your parents while on AOS. Last time I invited my in-laws I had H1-B et al....now we are on AOS and my wife is sponsoring her parents. We are on AOS. I do not have a job currently so I can't get an EVL and my wife has and she is inviting and the I-134 is also from her...we have EADs valid till late 2010....she had her F1 valid till Oct 2009 but she is working on dependent EAD.

I got an approval in March 2007 and status still says 'the notice that USCIS sent was returned as undeliverable". As I guess approval notice was sent to my employer's old address and so returned. My employer got address changed and sent request to Nebraska Service Centere to resent the documents, but documents not received yet. Still waiting.

One of my friend has a unique situation. His wife and daughter ( both on GC and daughter is 10 years old) has to live outside US for long time due to her health situations. These are the things happened.
1. First time she went to India and stayed there for almost 1 year ( but less than 1 year ) and both came into US with out any problems, but stayed in US for only 1 week to 10 days.
2. Now both are still in India and its been approximately 1 year 10 months ( didn�t fine any extensions or anything like that).
3. Now she got recovered completely and want to come back to US to join her husband, Can they both come back to country with out any problems? Does she need to file any documents to USCIS or in US consulate in India.
Your responses would be much appreciated. Once again thanks for all your help.

What does the employment contract between your husband and his employer say? This document will be the key to what your husband can or can't do.
The problem is the employement letter does not says anything. We will be looking into the handbook of the company, to see what it says.

this doubt is bugging me due to recession fears.
if someone is on h1 status & have filed 485 in july 07. what happens when due to recession he/she is out of job (NO PAYROLL) for 3-4 months.
will the person have problems during 485 approval?? whats the possible negative that can happen in such god not willing situation

Employer cannot revoke I-140 application after 180 days of filling I-485. No matter what the scenario is.
employer can revoke the I-140 at any time. If you have crossed 180 days since filing I-485, the revocation does not effect your I-485 approval.
