After consulting with Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Visa Office advises readers that Visa Bulletin #107 (dated June 12) should be relied upon as the current July Visa Bulletin for purposes of determining Employment visa number availability, and that Visa Bulletin #108 (dated July 2) is hereby withdrawn.
Does this mean that we have to file I-485 before August 1st?. From August 1st, the August visa bulletin is effective and all the EB category dates are U.:confused:

I brought toyota camry from a dealer in NY state last year feb/2010 on (toyota) finance, the dealer only asked me for my driver lience and ssn. he took copy of driver licence and ssn. nothing ask or talk about my immigration status etc, etc...
looking at me my friend (working with me) brought brand new toyota camry same month feb/2010 from PA dealer with 0% apr for 5 yrs. he also shown and given photo copy his driver licence and ssn.
myself and my friend both are on h1b visa.
this could be possibly happen because of private financing (toyota finance) not bank...

Actually the reply I got was from the attorney(who is HR head I believe) of the non-profit organization itself. What I was told that some companies do accept volunteers but due to ignorance of law on their part.
Volunteering itself means one is not paid for. But H4s cannot volunteer in their own field of expertise. This is what I understood.
Anyway I am planning to file my H1 this year.

I did the same with my family in 05. Pretty simple. Go for it. Good Luck. Make sure MARK YES to the question of Your Status in Canada as Permanent Landed Immigrant while filling up the form for H1 intervies at American Embassy.

If you need to retain your PD, does the job description need to be similar or can it be different?
Mine is a similar case, I-140 is approved and would like to switch employers on 3 year H1 extension....
My question is can I file for labor through PERM with the new company even if it is in different category and previous I-140 is revoked (worst case, maybe even realistic scenario)? What can my original company do to stop this H1 transfer/filing of new labor from happening?:confused:

In the RIR system EB2 was MS + 3 and BS+5.
If BS+5 is still the norm in PERM...how come MS+0 is acceptable under PERM. Did they change the rule....I think this a loophole

The EB-2 NIW category, like the EB-1 extraordinary ability category, has the advantage of not requiring employer sponsorship---both can be "self-petitions". Depending on the particular facts, it is sometimes easier to qualify for the EB-2 NIW category. It is also possible to file separate I-140 petitions in two or more categories at the same time to increase the liklihood of success.

I thought it was kind of inherent in a programming competition. If he would allow external libraries, the contests could become jigsaw puzzle contests where the person who could find the best open source libraries, and piece them together properly could beat someone who made something completely from scratch.
I appreciate where you're coming from.
When I interpreted the rules/intent of the competition I didn't see anything wrong with using Box2D.
I think I made something awesome no matter what happens. I'm happy with the final product and everything I've learned making it. I'd just hate to see it disqualified because someone assumed I'd know not to use external libraries or external audio.
ps: can you post your code? and btw... i like what you did with your swarming code :)
