Just Now, I received a call from congresswomen staff. She was able to get some standard response from NSC via congrees inquiry cell at NSC[she read for me]. Still 26000 application are pending NSC prior to July 17th filer. I asked again and again same question, How they can enter data for Aug first week before July 2nd. What about FIFO? She was repeating again and again what response she got from USCIS. I was able to get I-765 # from her. I asked her how come 765 (LIN#) is possible without 485 data[she don't understand inter-dependency of application]. Stange but something is better than nothing. I will write again for FIFO. I don't want USCIS actions go unnoticed. I will do my part.

Congress has begun a 10-day recess. The House and Senate are scheduled to return the week of February 27. When they return, the Senate Judiciary Committee is scheduled to take up comprehensive immigration reform, probably beginning March 2. On March 27 this bill will be brought to the floor of the Senate.
www.immigration-law.com also posted information about Comprehensive bill suggesting that on 02/16/2006, the Executive Business Meeting of the Senate Judiciary marked up the Comprehensive Immigration Reform bill. We have not yet found the mark up document. If anybody is able to find this document, please post let everybody know.
There are two pieces of Innovation/Competitiveness bills that are being considered:
1.) Protecting America’s Competitive Edge Acts (PACE)
This act is based on Augustine report. This act is sponsored by Domenici-Bingaman-Alexander-Mikulski. There are 60 Senators who have endorsed this act. This act is being supported by Craig Barrett and other hi-tech industry leaders. The link below provides the summary. Section 314 of the education part of this act contains some of the provisions for Employment based immigration.

2.) National Innovation Act (NIA) of 2005
This act is based on Report of Council of Competitiveness (Immivationamerica.org/Compete.org report of 2005). This act is sponsored by Senator Lieberman (CT) and Senator John Ensign (NV). At this time this act has support of 25 Senators. This act is also being supported by Craig Barrett who is co-chair for the academy that is involved with NIA. There are other executives of high profile companies who are supporting this initiative. The link below provides the summary. Could not find much on employment based immigration other than the fact that this act is asking for $1 Million to conduct a study to find out the right numbers of legal plus employment based immigration. So this looks like a long shot.

Both Innovation/Competitiveness acts are not competing with each other but rather complementing each other. The people and substance involved in both the acts are similar. Just that they provide slightly different solution to the situation where PACE provides for additional funding and slightly more aggressive than NIA. Both the bills have very broad & bi-partisan support in Senate. However, it is getting slightly tougher to get support from the House for these bills.

Siva tells me that hundreds of flowers have been delivered already. DHL made a big delivery this morning. Another delivery was made by UPS.

Moreover, it was just asked to rinse the bottle with hot water, to be sure it is hygenic, in a circumstances when baby was making tantrums. Another reason for asking was because bathrooms were full, otherwise there wouldn't have been a need. We have travelled many other airlines, and there was never an issue for such requests. Many airlines go extra mile to please you. It is what is called customer service.
I don't understand why is it hard or degrading? Maybe then they are not supposed to serve you a cool cup of water at your seat as well. Is that demeaning as well on part of her job?

Before you file the law suit consider this,
The system is designed to get GC faster to the smarter (EB1, EB2, EB3 etc) or the rich (Investor). Sometimes circumstances decide in which queue you start the journey, Employer, attorney, how many days left in h1b etc, etc, etc
I do not like to jump queues and resent people who jump queues. But these are the people who look for opportunities and exploit them. These are the smart ones.
System favors people who are skilled (higher the better), By finding (new Labor, new I140) and using an opportunity these people have proved that they are worthy of the faster queue (eb3 to eb2, eb2 to eb1 etc).
What is wrong in rewarding the hardworking smart person with the original PD. After all that PD was established for that person(thank god LC sub is gone). That is the day an employer decided to sponsor GC for that person.

Your reward is you get to start the journey in EB2, 1 year+ in EAD and 6 years in H1. If you are really smart you would have got your employer to apply for GC with at least 5 years left on your H1 clock.

Got RFE for Employer Letter, Missing Vaccination and G325. Replied on Apr 30, 2009

The last updated on my and wife's files were on 05/12/2009 (after the RFE Respnose)
I Went to the Local USCIS center on 08/02/2010. IO mentioned that Name check and FBI check had cleared. But he could not tell if my case was assigned to an IO. He asked me to open an SR. I called the 1-800 number and opened an SR on 08/03/10. I got a standard email from USCIS for the SR I opened, on 08/11/2010. It said that my case and my wife's were both were under review and it would take up to 60 days for them to process it.
On 08/13/2010 8.03 CST, I got a SMS on my cell that My case status was updated. I had received that Card Production was ordered on 08/12/2010.
Now, I am waiting on my wife's approval.

I feel we should have some banners up in different Indian stores, specially targeting some selfish EAD holders, who already feel they got their green cards irrespective of the current visa bulletin
1. Setting up banners will not only attract new members, but will make these EAD holders think from a rational perspective.
2.Also IV administration should send out a personal email to all it members, informing them about the importance of coming together, this way the EAD members who have stopped coming to IV will get the message.
3. We should contact the Indian newspaper editors, to print about our rally on March1st 2009, I believe more awareness we spread a better result we get.

thank you for your info on calling uscis and requesting namecheck info.... i called them today, asked about FP 1 and if it had been sent out... they told me to wait for FP notice but they were able to check for name check info..... name check has passed..... 485 RD July 16 2007... thanks again for uscis contact info
