Reminds me, must get my old Passat looked at. Needs a service anyway - they can look at the brake failure message i'm getting (probably a sensor as it only happens when cold and turning left!)
Anyway as for the new US model, looks like a bit of the current Polo/Golf styling (EU models anyway - not sure about US versions of them) is going on. Not too sure if I like it, however as I've not got the money and I live on another continent it's not an issue at the moment.

Castle is the name of a new service that Apple are going to offer which focuses around location tracking and security. It is a stand-alone feature whereby you can keep track of all your devices and who is using them.

:( I am unable to install wiretap. when I try to unstuff it, it asks to save some preinstall thing in a folder but it says that it already exists. I naturally say save, all three documents. It unpacks, but when i click on it, it tells me that it was unable to locate files. So i am lost at the moment.

Samsung know they are in trouble with the Apple suits, and rightly so. But instead of just defending the suit against them, they are making stuff up to get back at Apple.
What it is, is childish.
you really should go look up how it works before you start insulting us.
I was not talking crap. That little tid pit I put in about the filing only if getting pissed off and sued came form our resident patent lawyer on these boards who explain why many times you only see law suits after they get sued. They go into the file if sued by so and so bring these up.
That is why many of these patents are filed away and never really sued unless antoher company starts pissing you off or acting childish like Apple. It gives you more leverage to use against them in their lawsuit against you.
I do find it funny. Fanboys cheered when Apple sued Samsung but Samsung responds and now called Samsung childish.
Fanboys call Kodak pantint trolls when they sued apple.
Fanboys cheer when Apple sued Nokia but booed about Nokia sueing apple.

Has anyone with the new iMac experienced the persistent buzzing issue present in most of the models last year?
The issue presents itself when the brightness is below full (and proceeds to get louder as you lower the brightness further). Tends to be more obvious when the casing becomes warm.
This is the only thing keeping me from buying an iMac, after the few I got last year were all returned for that issue.

I've never been able to understand how a WiFi phone could be a success before WiFi networks become pervasive and virtually free. How could you use a WiFi phone in your car, for instance? And what's the point of having iChat on your phone when you can only use it in the currently few and limited WiFi-enabled areas?The phones aren't purely WiFi - they use WiFi when they can, and downgrade to cellular when necessary.

In civil court....you are correct. In criminal court...no dice. In a criminal court the prosector has to prove that the defendant has violated the LETTER OF LAW. Clearly the seller didn't in this case.
Civil court judges have much more freedom to interpret law (and intent) than criminal.

This keynote was a huge letdown for me. Sure I think the iPhone looks amazing and it has me considering a switch to Cingular to get one.
When I saw that the keynote was going to be 2 hours this time, I was super stoked. I just knew it was going to be jam-packed with new products, speed bumps on the computer lines, demos of leopard and iLife, etc. he spent 2 WHOLE HOURS talking about 2 products. I simply can't believe that. I know Steve wants to pimp out the iPhone as much as possible, but come on. Where was the "one more thing", etc? Sure there were really 3 things with the airport basestation being thrown in there without an announcement, but NOTHING that was discussed is available for immediate shipping.
I've been anticipating this for months since the announcement of quad core processors in hopes of getting an 8 core Mac Pro on order today. I've been saving up and keeping my credit clear just for that purchase and I've been extremely disappointed.
My only hope now is that since the quad cores are being released this week that they'll do a refresh soon down the line.

You can still run the software. You just cant do certain things. An ipad specific app can never work on an ipod touch

Try removing a stick of RAM or reseating them. This may fix your problem.
