Might be there for 5 or 6 AM. Have a full day of work that starts at 9 AM and includes going out of town in the afternoon. Can't be sure I'll be up and alert enough to go later in the evening to pick-up. Plus it looks like fun
Same here, leaving on a flight at 2:30, but I don't have to work (I'm a grad student). I was hoping I could show up at 7 am and wait however long it takes and get the phone and still make my flight. I am guessing I don't have to stay up overnight to do that, and hopefully I can still meet cool Mac people.

I too have been using Mactubes, and it works better than the in-browser flash player, but I can't seem to get quicktime to work.
"Can not open video. Please open URL with browser."
That's the error that I get when I switch to Quicktime. Any ideas?
You need to upgrade to version 3.0.4. Occasionally Youtube changes something in their urls, I think, and the program's author has to update (which he/she does promptly).

I do have a lens coat on my 400mm, and the greatest benefit for me is that it keeps my hands warmer in our cold Canadian winter since I'm not holding onto bare metal.
Down here, we have these things called gloves... :D
On a serious note, I find that the pre-shaped neoprene Kayaker's gloves work well, as well as everything else you might need to touch in the winter- I can operate my camera gear without removing them and shove them into a pair of mittens while I'm waiting around.

2. ^^ Did everyone receive the 10% discount along with the scratch cards?
3.If I were to buy an iMac that night with the 10% discount can i get that on top of my education discount?
You can't combine discounts, i.e. the 10% card and the EDU. At least not when Tiger was released....

Did you change the machine id on the other installations? Are they all in seperate folders so the data files dont overlap?
I've never seen that error from the log..

I'm not willing to install Flash for this, sorry.
When you have Flash installed and ClickToFlash, Flash object will not be executed unless clicked on, thus Flash takes no CPU cycles unless needed.

Log into another fresh account. Make sure it works there. Then delete your actual account's finder preferences. That should do it.
Didn't work for me. I also see this on two different 10.7 installs. Using the keyboard shortcuts or the menu bar to arrange by still works just no right click.

If I bring this to the Genius Bar, which is the more likely outcome: they will fix it, or exchange it? I'd like to know so I can start copying my files off of the computer.

If it is a software problem (which I also suspect), it should be possible to make it disappear by installing linux and tweeking the video settings. It may also be a firmware issue, and it won't be fixed until Apple address the problem.
So, has anyone tried the new PB with Linux??
Personally I don't see it as a problem. I have to get as close as 15cm from the screen to actually see the effect. I know that would give me a headache, lines or not :)

It's not too bulky, i actually really like the look of it..much better than the previous gen otterboxes
And of course very protective and theoretically water resistant, though I wouldn't go testing this on purpose

You realize that putting all your money in one stock increases the risk of losing some of your investment.
With apple stock at an all time high, its hard to fathom that you could make a decent return on that. There are other investment instruments that may provide a better return on your money.

Well, after it reboots it is booting to the CD but it comes up with the intial install screen all over again.
What is weird is the last thing it does before it reboots is the system optimization which I think is the very last thing that happens before the install is complete. But it is still on the first CD.

I keep reinstalling, but it does the same thing. Anyone have any idea?
