Thank for the reply. I hope the suggestions will be acted on and implemented at the earliest. It's frustrating to see that the priority dates haven't moved by a single day in last 6 months, something really needs to be done and I will do my support IV with anything.

Thanks for your commitment...if you are frustrated by no movement in 6 months then imagine the plight of folks on this forum who have no priority date movement since Jan 2002 (9 years and counting)....most of them have literally became dormant with the long wait and some of them have become cynical and skeptical of the entire process and quite frankly about IV...it's hard to motivate and make them commit to supporting IV. There are few brave souls who refuse to give up and are fighting for the greater benefit of the entire community!

I have one of those overpriced twirly brushes sold by Arctic Butterfly but have used it exactly once. Blower bulbs work fine. If you don't have a photo store nearby you can buy exactly the same thing at a drug store - except that it is white and called an ear syringe. Make sure you follow the camera directions for sensor cleaning - you will have to lock the mirror up to be able to direct the air at the sensor.
As for formatting, I generally format the card every time I put it back into the camera rather than delete the images at the desktop. I don't believe it does anything special to prevent problems but it is a just convenient of deleting photos and folders.
I have had one card fail completely.

I take this as another posiitve.
Paves the way for the smaller bills like the family reunification (visa recapture) to be passed without the chirkuts putting stops citing a CIR is required then voting against the CIR.

No matter what the employment contract states as the penalty for leaving the job. If your employer files a case against you for breach of contract the court will decide what damages if any need to be awarded, they will look at all the circumstances involved, you can also file a counter claim for any money you think is owed to you by the company. The court will not honor a predetermined amount mentioned in the contract as damages.

Came to US in 2004. But never was after GC. Applied in Feb 2008 EB2. So does not look like will get my GC in next couple of years.
'cooler' has well said that value of GC has changed as life has progressed. Now thinking of going back as parents getting older. Plus daughter has US citizenship. If she wants to come back here, that is her privilege.
Completing 40 SS credits next year. So can return after that. Bought home in 2006 at the peak of the buble so getting out of the house is probably the only hurdle left.
40SS credits won't get you SS after retirement if you're not a US Citizen then. Just so you know. India does not have a SS act with US and vice versa.

My company is layingoff people. We have been through 5 rounds of layoffs. They have asked all the H1Bs to hold off until about 6 months after the final layoff is over. They have issued written memos to all my cols in H1B stating this reason. Truly unfortunate.

Reason: Employer didn't follow labor rules in paying for some of the other employees.
Employer is saying he will appeal the denial but few more questions.
I heard that while appeal is in process I can't work. Also, I still need to get the EAD. So how can I work legally ?
Can another employer file my H1 transfer in normal processing ? ( I will request my original employer that I will come back and work for him after I get the EAD, the reason for normal processing instead of premium is to get some time until I get EAD.)
Can I start work for the other employer from the day of the H1b filing or have to wait until I get the H1b approval ( my h1 already got expired ) ?
Will changing my employer after 485 is filed jeopardise my 485 process ? ( I have intention to come back to original employer after I get EAD).
Any suggestions ?

You will get couple of July 2nd tracker under "Receipt tracker of 485, EAD and AP applications" category. USCIS forgot about few July 2nd filer or abandoned.
Hi, My application for I485 was received by Texas service centre. I have not received my RN and neither is my check has been cashed yet. I am confused looking at the online dates at www.USCIS.gov. Is there anyone who filled on 2nd of july and have not heard back from USCIS.

Priority date is the date on which a permanent labor certification was filed for a beneficiary and based on which an underlying I-140 petition is applied.
should be:

I would also submit marriage ceremony pictures (if you have them) along with marriage certificate (notarize the photocopy), assuming it is in English, else get it translated with affidavit and again notarize the copy. Sending Birth certificate copy along with above might be a + .

Yes. layoffs and labor certs dont mix well. esp. if an american or GC holder worker with the same position as u is laid off.
It does make sense at a labor cert level...but if u look at this long drawn GC process of 6+ years....it is unfair to the potential immigrant as he is seeking GC for future employment. This is when a point based system like Canada does makes sense....even when economy is down...u continue to immigrate people who are still needed because of their critical skills.

Gradually it has to come to 2007 for sure
because
1)It came till OCT 2006 in 2007 as well as in 2008 , There would be really few members who would have missed the two boats under EB2
but there will be EB3 -> EB2 conversions not sure how many , Hard to estimate
2)The applications to USCIS are gradually decreasing and the trend probably will continue in 2010, Hence lesser revenues for USCIS
so if PD is stable in coming months or even if it has slow and steady increment, I believe 2007 will be current again in coming 3 quarters, if it doesnt happen in oct bulletin

Hey ags, I'm Confused here. Are you sure we can add spouse after the approval of I 485, providing the marriage certificate has a date of prior the approval date?
So if I do AOS on I 485, can spouse do counsular processing?
Is the time line 2 years or 180 days?
